Assisted Living
The Terrace: Knollwood’s assisted living neighborhood in NW, Washington, DC, includes private studio and one-bedroom apartments for residents with a variety of needs. Those requiring assistance with dining, medication management, dressing, grooming, and/or bathing are assisted by a staff of licensed registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants.
At the Terrace, your loved one will have access to out-patient therapies and onsite physicians including:
- Primary Care
- Podiatrist
- Optometrist
- Dentist
- Audiologist
- Psychiatrist (virtual)
There’s also Our Little Store, a place where residents can independently purchase miscellaneous items. The Terrace also offers a hair salon/barber shop adjacent to the Auditorium, where programs and events are held.
Assisted living residents enjoy 24/7 personal care, nutritious meals, housekeeping, and care coordination. Apartments feature kitchenettes, large bathrooms with handicapped-accessible showers, emergency call systems, climate control capabilities, and other amenities.
These services meet individual circumstances while supporting and encouraging continued independence. Residents are motivated, challenged, and engaged with social programs and recreational activities that support purposeful living.
