Skilled Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Programs Serve Residents and General Public

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Knollwood Military Life Plan Community for U.S Officers of the uniformed services and eligible family members, as well as high-level federal officials who served our nation in the Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and our National Intelligence Agencies, has earned a ‘Best Nursing Homes’ rating of “High Performing,” the highest possible rating, for its short- and long-term skilled nursing care and rehabilitation programs by U.S. News & World Report. The designation of ‘Best Nursing Home’ is given to only 19 percent of U.S. skilled nursing communities which satisfy the publication’s assessment of the appropriate use of key services and deliver consistent performance in quality measures.

“This notable recognition validates our skilled nursing team’s ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of quality care to our residents’, said Tina Sandri, MHSA, LNHA, Administrator, Army Distaff Foundation and Knollwood. “With our team members working here an average of over eight years, each is exceptionally trained to deliver person-centered care with state-of-the-art therapies.”

Now in its 10th year, the U.S. News Best Nursing Homes ratings and profiles offer comprehensive information about care, safety, health inspections, staffing and more for nearly all of the nation’s 15,000-plus nursing homes. The Best Nursing Homes ratings reflect U.S. News’ exclusive analysis of publicly available data using a methodology defined by U.S. News that evaluates factors that it has determined most greatly impact patient and resident care, safety, and outcomes.

“We couldn’t be more honored to know that a credible, third party organization like U.S. News recognized our Health Services Center and the amazing work our skilled nursing teams provide each and every day to our residents,” said MG Timothy P. McHale, USA (Ret.), President and CEO, Army Distaff Foundation and Knollwood.
